I was brought up as a city mouse in Dearborn, Michigan. As a kid, my dad would take my brother fishing and hunting but not me because I was a girl. I longed for the woods. I studied dance and became a dance choreographer, a competitive cheer coach and now I am a Licensed Esthetician.
Years ago, I heard of the Michigan DNR program, Becoming an Outdoor Woman (B.O.W.), and the classes they offered. I fell in love with the outdoors thanks to the education I received in these classes. A few of my favorites were hand guns, archery, winter/summer survival, ice fishing, turkey calling and more. I just kept learning and taking every class they had to offer. Thanks B.O.W.!
I was involved in the fundraising and hosting for a Ducks Unlimited Chapter in Michigan for four years. I am member of the Wild Turkey Federation, Fly Girls and Safari Club International.
I now travel the U.S. and Canada hunting bear, deer, waterfowl and turkey. My passion for the woods and the sport of hunting has led me to many success stories. Now I am field producer for Hills’n’Hollers. I am very thankful for B.O.W. and how It changed my life. I am no longer a city mouse. I am officially a country mouse!
